The birth house of the renowned Slovene poet Neža Maurer, the Slovenian Woman of the year 2008, is a partially wooden with a high ground floor and redisigned black kitchen. Nestled beneath a hill, its arhitecture hints that it was probably built in the middle of the 19th century. The house is situated in the settlement of Kopank in Podvin, in the vicinity of the settlement of Polzela.
