The natural park with the pond Vrbje lies south of the town Žalec. Over 170 bird spieces have been spotted here, some of them finding a shelter at or around the pond. The area between the pond Vrbje and the river Savinja is part of the Natura 2000 ecological network. The natural park is criss-crossed with theme trails and enriched by a forma viva and its collection of wooden sculptures.
