A unique museum of its kind in Slovenia is situated in a four storey former hop drying facility and represents a link between the history and the present of the hop growing and brewing industry in Lower Savinjska Valley. Here the story of Simon Kukec, the brewer and the owner of Žalec brewery is continued, and even the house beer is named after him: Kukec – Savinja valley beer). Along with a wide range of tourist suvenirs, the museum also offers beer tasting to its visitors.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 5pm; Saturdays from 9am to 12pm.
